Abstract

This report documents field visits funded by a grant from the British Academy to Coventry University. These trips to Malawi were undertaken in September 2014 and March 2015; the final trip was to deliver feedback to stakeholders and develop guidelines for the education of children with albinism1 in collaboration with members of The Association of People with Albinism in Malawi (APAM). This report addresses the escalation in attacks on people with albinism since late 2014 which has shocked the country and had such a devastating effect on all aspects of the lives of these families, including the education of children with this condition.
